General information This information is from a tournament in a past season! This is a College tournament in Nebraska. View manager contact information January, 2015 Dear Forensics Friends, The coaches and students of Kansas State University and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln invite you and your students to the 10th Annual UN-L/K-State Swing: K-state Wildcats, on Saturday, January 24th, 2015 and the UNL Cornhuskers on tournament on Sunday, January 25th, 2015. Both tournaments will be held on the campus of University of Nebraska-Lincoln and head quartered out of CBA Hall. Directors Aaron Duncan (UN-L) and Craig Brown (K-State), along with their assistants and graduate coaches are already planning a fun and competitive weekend for your visit.
Both tournaments will offer two preliminary rounds and the appropriate number of elimination rounds in the eleven AFA events. Awards will be given for 1st-6th places. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards will be given for Individual Sweepstakes participants and for School Sweepstakes at each invitational. In addition, awards will be given in overall individual and team sweepstakes for the swing tournament. To receive a swing trophy, you must have participated in both halves of the swing. This year we plan to honor our top community college with sweepstakes awards at both tournaments and for the swing. We will have breakfast food for all and food for judges both days.
Entries for the tournament can be made using Speechwire.com. Those coaches who have run or attended tournaments with last minute cancellations realize the trauma caused to the tournament director and the students. Hoping to discourage this, fees will be assessed on the basis of information received as of 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
All entries for both portions of the tournament should be made via speechwire.
We look forward to seeing you at the swing. If you have any questions, call Aaron Duncan at 402 472-6920 or Craig Brown at 785-532-6790 (craigb@ksu.edu).
Sincerely,
Craig Brown (DoIE, KSU) & Aaron Duncan (DOF, UN-L)
