Dear Speech Coaches:
The Battle Lake Lions Club and the Battle Lake Speech team invite you to Battle Lake Lions Club Junior High Speech invitational at Battle Lake School on Mon., Feb. 23.  This competition is for students in 7th, 8th, and 9th grade, in all 13 MSHL categories.  Senior high students are welcome to judge. Awards will be three team trophies, 1st through 3th place medals, and ribbons.

Schedule:   
3:30 pm         Registration
4:00 pm         Round 1; draw categories, please come prepared
4:45 pm         Draw for Round 2; media center
5:15 pm         Round 2
6:15 pm         Awards in auditorium; please, no food or drink in the auditorium

Cost:  $4.00 per entry.  Double entries allowed in all categories except discussion.  Please make checks payable to Battle Lake Public School.

Registration:  Deadline to register is Thurs., Feb. 19.  No refunds after Feb. 19.   Please register on Speechwire.com.
    
Judges:  1 judge per 7 entries regardless of subsequent drops.  Senior high students welcome to judge. 

Registration limits:  This tournament will accept 10 teams.  The maximum number of competitors will be 250.

Weather announcements – If needed, weather annnouncements wll be sent by text to coaches' cell phones.  Please send cell phone numbers.
