Welcome! We are excited to be hosting a tournament in Fulda again and hope that this early-season meet will help your speakers get off to a fun, successful season. We do have limited space, though, so we’ll accept only four entries in each category per team, and we will not accept any double entries.
Date and Location: Saturday 24 January 2015. You may drop students off at the main high school doors; buses may park in the west parking lot. Students may make their "camps" in the gym.
Deadline: Please complete your registration online using SpeechWire before 5 PM on Wednesday 21 January.
Judges: You must provide one judge for every six students you register. There will be a limited number of judges for hire; cost per judge will be $85.00. If you wish to hire a judge you MUST let me know by 5 PM on Wednesday 21 January so that I have time to confirm them.
Draw Details: Because our tournament is so early in the season, the draws for Extemp Reading and Storytelling will each include only the first ten selections on the season list.
Fees: Entry fees are $6.00 per contestant and $12.00 per dramatic duo. Please make checks payable to “Fulda High School Speech.”
Concessions: There will be a concession stand open throughout the tournament.
Awards: We will have individual awards for 1st through 6th place winners in each category and team awards for 1st through 5th place (no large/small school divisions). The awards ceremony will take place in the Fulda High School gym.
