Monmouth-Roseville High School Invitational
General information This information is from a tournament in a past season! This is a High School tournament in Illinois. View manager contact information Yup -- we're trying it again and hoping Mother Nature cooperates! The Monmouth-Roseville Speech Team is pleased to invite you to our seventh annual tournament on Saturday, December 13. Whether you’ve been with us since the beginning or just joining us for the first time this year, we are happy that you are a part of this continuing tradition for our team.
Registration will start at 7:15 with the first round of events starting at 8:30. Our goal is to have awards start at 4:00. We are also planning to have both varsity and JV finals as well as recognize a top novice in each event.
Your extemp speakers should come prepared to prep for both preliminary rounds and for finals. Prep will start at 8:45 in the M-RHS art room. Your radio speakers should come with a script that has been prepared no more than 24 hours before the tournament. This script will be used in all rounds.
A concession stand will be available for students to buy food throughout the day, and a hospitality suite will be available to all coaches and judges with a continental breakfast and lunch provided.
When you are submitting your entry, please limit your team to three entries per event. Each student may only participate in two events. In addition, please plan on bringing 1 judge for every 5 entries your team submits. You may hire a judge from us for an additional cost of $100 per judge.
The registration fee for this event will be as follows:
* Teams with fewer than 14 entries -- $100
* 14-28 entries -- $125
* 29-42 entries -- $150
* More than 43 entries -- $175
Checks should be made payable to the M-RHS Speech Team.
