Dear Colleague,

Antioch Community High School invites you and your Varsity speakers to the 1st C.C.F.L. Varsity Individual Events qualifying tournament to be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014.

Registration

 Varsity level contests, only three entries are permitted in each category. Double entries are limited to students entered in Duo Interpretation. Declamation is limited to freshmen and sophomores. Entries must be entered by Novenber 6th.

Extemporaneous Speaking

You are not required to submit any extemporaneous questions. All nine topics will be presented and the list of topics can be found on the league website at www.chicagocfl.org. There will be no Frosh/Soph Extemp.

Judging Requirements

Each participating school is required to bring at least one judge for every six contestants or fraction thereof. As with your entry fee, your judge requirement is based on your original entry and not your actual entry on the day of the contest. (Please note any judges that you hire who are unaffiliated.)

Fees

The base fee for entering a team is $75.00. This allows for up to two entries in each of the six categories. If you choose to enter additional contestants in a category, the fee is $5.00 for each additional entry. Fees are due the day of the contest and checks can be made payable to Antioch Community High School. If you are entering six or fewer entries, the fee is $35.00 for two entries in a category and $5.00 for any additional students in a category.

Rules and Regulations

All rules that govern CCFL Individual Events Tournaments are included in the C.C.F.L. By-Laws and will be followed at this tournament. In addition, we would like to remind you that smoking is not permitted anywhere in our building.
