Lyons/Argo Speech Tournament @ Summit
General information This information is from a tournament in a past season! This is a High School tournament in Illinois. View manager contact information
Greetings Coaches!
We will run 3 prelims where varsity and novice will be grouped together. The top 6 from prelims will advance to Varsity Finals. If interest in the tournament and number of judges work out, we will take the next top six novices and run novice finals. If we don’t have the numbers to logistically run novice finals, the top six novices will be recognized at the award ceremony.
A novice is a speaker who is on speech team for their first year regardless of their year in school. If you indicate that a speaker is novice, and that speaker is in the top 6 from prelims, he or she will compete in the varsity finals. Speakers will not be penalized for being classified as a novice.
