Congress. Legislation info will be available closer to the tournament date.

Judging Requirements.  Each school must have available qualified judges based on the following requirements:  One judge available for every five individual events entries (not students), and one judge for every two debate entries.   Please instruct your judges that we are doing everything in our power to recruit judges from our community, but every school needs to have enough judges or the cost of hiring a judge will be incurred.

Awards.  Trophies will be given to the top six places in each IE/Debate event. Best Presiding Officer awards will also be given for each chamber in Congress.  No individual speaker awards for LD or PFD will be given, only the top six finishers in LD and 1st through 3rd for the two-person PFD teams. Sweepstakes trophies will be given for 1st through 3rd place. A special "small school" award will also be presented for the school that has the proportionately greatest wins according to percentage of at least five competitors.

Food.  We will have lunch and concessions for students to purchase.  No outside food is allowed.  Coaches and judges will be provided food.

Should you have any questions, please contact us! We can't wait to host you at East Carteret!
