Thank you for choosing to attend the Hermantown Hawk Speech Invitational on March 15th!

Registration Deadline:  Tuesday, March 11th at 6:00 p.m.

Format:  3 rounds and a final round for the top six in each category if there are enough competitors.

MSHSL Rules will be in effect for all categories.  All stories and poems will be used for storytelling and extemp reading.  THe discussion tasks will come from
Section III:  Economic Concerns.

Double-entering is allowed in all categories EXCEPT discussion and draw categories (extemp reading, extemp speaking, storytelling).

Fees:  $6.00 per entry (Duo=one entry).  Please make checks payable to Hermantown Schools. 
       (Your fee will not be lowered for drops after Wednesday, March 12th.)

Judges:  Please supply one judge for every seven (7) entries or portion thereof.  THE NUMBER OF JUDGES REGISTERED CANNOT BE DECREASED AFTER THE REGISTRATION DEADLINE.
         A very limited number of judges can be hired for a $70 fee.

Awards:  Medals for the top six in each category; ribbons for other speakers with a low meld for the category.  The top three teams will be recognized.

Schedule: 
Please go into SpeechWire to make drops once you are on the bus.  These must be completed by 8:00.
Please text any adds the morning of the meet to 218-349-2556.  Indicate your school, category, name of speaker.
Draws for Rd 1--8:30 a.m.
First Round--9:00 a.m.
Draws for Rd 2--10:00 a.m.
Round 2--10:30
Draws for Rd.. 3--11:30
Round 3--12:00
Postings for finals as they are ready.
Hopefully, draws for final rounds will begin at 1:30 with all final rounds beginning by 2:00.
Awards:  3:30 (or as close to it as possible)
