FORMAT: Three rounds of speaking…with a final round.
 
RULES: The rules used will be those used in MSHSL Fine Arts Rules and Policies Manual. Extemporaneous reading and storytelling selections will be drawn from the complete 2014 lists, and discussion tasks will conform to the MSHSL schedule (III. Building the Future: U.S. Infrastructure Challenges in the 21st Century (Economic Concerns). 
 
TIMETABLE: Registration will take place in the main corridor (just inside the Jones Street entrance, door #3). Draws will begin at 8:45, followed by Round One at 9:15 for all events.
 
AWARDS: All speakers who break into the medal round will receive a "Finalist" ribbon. Medals will be presented to the three top speakers in each category; "Honorable Mention" ribbons, to other highly ranked speakers; plaques, to the three top teams. 
 
JUDGES: Please furnish one qualified judge for each seven entries (1:7) or fraction thereof. A very limited number of judges may be hired by schools making an early reques, and a fee of $75 per judge will be assessed to the team needing coverage.  THE NUMBER OF JUDGES REGISTERED CANNOT BE DECREASED AFTER THE REGISTRATION DEADLINE. (Each duo interp pair should be counted as a single entry in calculation the number of judge required.)
 
ENTRY FEE: $6.00 per entry (payable to ISD 2154). 
 
DOUBLE ENTRY: Due to limited space and the fact that we are offering a final round, entrants will NOT be allowed to double-enter. 
 
DROP/ADD: We acknowledge the drop/add inevitability, and urge you to contact us with your registration revisions through Thursday afternoon by 5:00 PM. 
 
THE FOOD THING: We've got it covered with a concessions table for speakers and homespun hospitality for visiting coaches and judges. 
 
DEADLINE: Registration via Speechwire.com must be received by 6:00 PM on Tuesday, March 4th, 2014. This date also serves as the invoicing deadline for the tournament. Teams are obligated to pay for the number of speakers and judges registered at the time of this deadline, despite amendments to your roster later, espeically in regard to drops and adds.
