Wakefield will host its eighth annual Sweet Meet invitational on Friday, February 14, 2014. If you any questions, please e-mail me at  zvander@esu1.org. The deadline for entries will be Monday, February 10, 2014 by 5:00 p.m.

 

Competition: We will have JV (first or second year competitors only—use your discretion) and varsity divisions.  If needed, divisions/events may be combined.  All nine NSAA events will be offered in both divisions, as numbers permit.  The format of the meet will be two rounds for varsity with finals and two rounds for novice with no finals. Awards will be given for both divisions—1st- 4th for JV and 1st- 6th for varsity. Team sweepstakes awards will also be given to the top two teams in each division. We will begin at 8 a. m. and hope to have awards around 4 p. m.

Judges:  Each school is to provide one judge for every SIX ENTRIES.  Each additional uncovered entry will be $10.00.

Registration: We will be using SpeechWire.com for registration and tabulation this year.  Once you have agreed to participate, you will be sent information and a password for online registration.

Fees:  $8.00 per entry—both group and individual.  There will be no refunds for drops.  Fees are due by the day of the tournament. Schools that withdraw from the tournament after the entry deadline will be responsible for the same fees.  Please make checks payable to the Wakefield Speech Boosters.  Checks made out to the school will be edited so that they are payable to the speech boosters.
