~ Greetings Coaches ~ Hoping this finds you warm and energized for the speech season.

We here at Sauk Rapids would like to cordially invite you to attend Sauk Rapids-Rice "Speech Madness" Speech Tournament on Saturday, March 1, 2014.

FORMAT: (3) Rounds - Finals Double entries allowed

1st Rounds starts 9:00 am

13 MSHL categories and a 14th category of Duo/Improv

AWARDS: Medals for 1st-6rd and Ribbons for 7th-8th /Honorable Mention

Team Awards

REGISTRATION: $6.00 per Entry Make Checks Payable to Sauk Rapids-Rice High School - Speech (6) Per Category – Both Duo Categories Count as (1) Entry DOUBLE ENTRIES WILL BE ALLOWED

JUDGES: Please bring (1) Judge per (6) Entries $75.00 charge for uncovered entries.

Please inform Judges they should plan to judge finals and must stay until all finals are posted.

NOTE: If the rounds are unbalanced you may judge your own students. However, we will do all that we can to avoid this situation.

DRAW CATEGORIES: **All Categories will have 30 minutes to Prep starting at 8:30am **Storytelling will draw from ALL Stories on the MSHSL list **Extemp Reading will draw from ALL MSHSL Story/Poetry lists **Extemp Speaking Topics will include News Events beginning in January **Discussion Topic: To Be Announced Closer to Tournament Date.

CONCESSIONS: We will have Concessions for all participants.

We will also have Complimentary Snacks/Lunch for all Coaches/Judges. REGISTRATIONS:
