Hello all - we are happy to invite you to the KL Gates HS #3 Tournament! This is our first 2-day tournament of the year and will be at a new location - so please read all the way through for important changes to registration deadlines & other details. You are not required to attend both days of competition, although we will offer unique training sessions on Friday in addition to debates. 

 

REGISTRATION: we will employ an entry cap system much like the one seen at previous tournaments. We will reserve 8 spots for every team at the beginning of registration - once RSVPs and entries are confirmed, we will start lifting teams from the wait list. This is why it is very important that you observe and follow our registration deadlines.

 

•       The deadline to RSVP (yes/no) is Monday, November 4th. If you do not RSVP by Monday, your teams will be moved to the bottom of the wait list. 

•       The deadline for entries is Saturday, November 9th. If you do not enter teams by Friday, we may be unable to effectively plan for the number of entries - and thus may turn away your teams. 

•       If we can't take all teams from your school off the waitlist, we will ask who you want added first.

•       We invite any debater with 1+ year of experience who can't be taken off the waitlist to earn sweepstakes points for your school as a judge. 

 

 

SPECIAL NOTE: we have modified the schedule for this tournament to accommodate longer travel times. Additionally, we will offer a set of hour-long training sessions on Friday at 2:00PM - we will keep you updated on the topics we can offer as we solidify session leader commitments - right now, our goal is to offer sessions on the Development K, theory arguments in debate, and others. We will ask that you register students for training sessions on Speechwire, to ensure our session leaders have an idea of class size in advance.
