Dear Forensics Coach and Team:
The Gahanna Lincoln High School Speech & Debate Team cordially invites you to our 14th Annual Rotary Club of Gahanna Speech and Debate Tournament on December 14, 2013.
Events offered: We will offer 4 rounds of competition for all OHSSL Individual Events, 5 rounds of Lincoln Douglas Debate and Public Forum Debate, and an appropriate number of Student Congress rounds based on numbers. No double entry is allowed in any event. Please register early, so you are not closed out. Please limit IE to 4 entries and LD and PF to 6 combined entries—we will accept more if room permits. List you students in the order you want them to compete--we will try to accommodate all, but if we have to, we will pull from the bottom of your entries to equalize competition from teams.
Registration fees: $5.00 per contestant regardless of event. Make checks payable to GLHS.
Snacks and Lunch: Breakfast and lunch items, provided by our wonderful Speech and Debate parents, will be available at reasonable prices. The outdoor grill will be hot, even if the weather is cold!
Awards: The Rotary Club of Gahanna will sponsor the awards. Trophies will be awarded to the top three in all events. Ribbons and other nice items will be awarded to fourth–sixth places. Sweepstakes will be different this year: Each coach will select the 10 entries of his/her choice before round one to count toward sweeps. Regardless of event, 12 points will be the maximum sweepstakes points awarded per event.
***Please note: If a PF teammate drops, the maverick may compete, but will not be eligible for any awards.***
Registration deadline: MONDAY, December 9, 2:00pm. We have moved this deadline up to Monday, for we have closed out registration early the last few years.

Registration 7:45-8:15 (8:30 draw for Extempers)
Opening Assembly 8:30-8:50 ALL Contestants in Auditorium (except Extempers--in BAND room)
Opening Assembly 8:30-8:50 ALL Judges and Coaches in Cafeteria

Judge Requirements:
IE:
1 – 5 entries……1 judge LD & PF: 1 judge for every 2 entries
6 – 10.……….…2 judges Congress: 1 scorer/parliamentarian
11 –15………….3 judges
16 – 22…………4 judges
23+…..…………5 judges A few judges may be available for hire. ($50)

CONGRESS: All legislation will be the taken from the December OHSSL docket for December 14. Obtain the legislation from ohssl.org.
NO COPIES OF THE PACKET OF LEGISLATION WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE TOURNAMENT SITE.
Congress will be run on base in each chamber.
