Dear Friends and Colleagues,

            The students and staff at the University of Michigan and Central Michigan University are pleased to invite you to the 3^nd Annual Perfect Pairs Swing Tournament to be held on November 8^th, 9^th and 10^th, 2013. Both halves of the swing will be held on the Central Michigan University Campus in Mount Pleasant, Michigan.  Tournament registration, the tabulation Room and debate competition rooms/ballot table will be based out of Moore Hall. IE competition rooms/ballot table, as well as the Judge’s and competitor lounge will be based out of Anspach Hall.

We are delighted to bring you a fun-filled weekend of competition offering all 11 AFA events. We will also be offering a special experimental event: Pop-Culture Extemp! (Rules found at end of the invite). Separate Lincoln-Douglas Debates will be offered on both days and a single Parliamentary Debate will take throughout Friday and Saturday. Cross entry will NOT be permitted between IE and debate. Students, however, may cross enter between debate formats.

On each day of the swing, awards will be presented to the top novice in each category, the top six speakers in each IE event, finalists and semifinalists in debate, top three quadrathon competitors and the top three schools (IE and Debate will be treated separately). On Sunday, novice divisions will be offered if numbers warrant.

Please register your entry at www.speechwire.com before 5 PM on Tuesday, November 5^th, 2013. Please note that you must register for each day of the swing separately. Please make all checks payable to "Pi Kappa Delta - Central Michigan University". Checks should be made out to CMU on both days of the tournament.
