Gustavus Adolphus College Alumni and the Minnesota Gamma Chapter of Pi Kappa Delta would like to cordially invite you to “The Great Minnesota Get Together… but speech and less fried things on a stick” on October 5^th 2013 at Gustavus Adolphus College. Gustavus Adolphus College is in St. Peter, Minnesota conveniently located 12 miles North of Mankato. We hope you find it possible to attend this weekend of friendship, fun, and a way to “get your feet wet” at the beginning of the season. Due to changes in the tournament calendar and the lack of tournaments available in AFA District Four the October 5^th weekend, Gustavus Forensics alumni felt it necessary to give back to the community with this extremely affordable, and cost saving, opportunity.

Tournament Details

The goal of this tournament is to provide students with a valuable learning opportunity through multi-institutional assessment through ballots filled with content and delivery based critiques. The tournament offers all 11 AFA-NIET events. In addition, students will have the opportunity to sit in on a half hour lecture of their choice from a Gustavus Alumni (interp., limited prep, and public address).  Tips and pointers about each of the competition genres will be shared.

All of the members of the Gustavus Adolphus team will be competing. Hired judges will be composed of local scholars and former competitors from regional programs.

Students will be limited to competing in 3 events.
