Cary-Grove Winter Invitational

I would like to welcome you to the 3rd annual Cary-Grove Winter Invitational. We are very excited to be hosting this tournament and to be sharing in a great day of competition with each of your schools. Each school may bring up to three entries per event. If a 4th slot is needed, please contact me via email as soon as possible. As long as space permits, we will honor these requests! An entry fee of $200 will be charged to schools who bring up to three entries per event. Schools needed four slots per event will be charged $225. I will be closing registration on Friday, December 6th at 5pm. If you have any drops please be sure to call them any time after that or on your way to the tournament. During the day, there will be a physcial drop board posted near the tab room but also a digital one available through Google Drive. If you or your judges have a smart phone, you will be able to check the drop board, as well as any individual moves, as it updates the day of the tournament. I will post QR codes in each room that will take you directly to that document. Ask your judges to download a QR scanner if they don't already have one! Maps will be available in the hallways via QR codes as well. Do not worry if you are not a smart phone user, as physical copies will be provided as well.
Radio and Extemp will prep during Round 1, 2, and final rounds. Prep will begin at 8:45 am and will take place in the Media Center. Registration will begin at 7:00 am. Please enter through the main doors, near the flag pole, take a left past the main office and another left after the main office to get to the Media Center. This is where headquarters will be located. All head coaches who have enough judges may join us in the tab room. Your help is greatly appreciated and welcomed! There will be a judges meeting at 7:30 in the judges lounge in E4, next to the Media Center.
Rounds will be at 8:00am, 9:30am, 11:00am, and 12:30pm. Final rounds will begin at 2:15pm and awards will start promptly at 4pm or before.
Team sweeps will be calculated using the top two entries in each event. Individual medals and ribbons will be awarded to any individual who makes final rounds.
Please submit your impromptu and extemp topics by Tuesday, December 3rd.
Please bring 1 judge per 6 entries.
