Hello, Indiana Coaches!! There's a lot of information below, so please print this out if necessary! This will be an AWESOME meet!

Speech: Varsity sections ONLY
Debate: Novice and Varsity
Congress: No division
REGISTRATION: I will accept registration on Speechwire through November 2, 2013. If you THINK that you'll be attending our meet, PLEASE mark that "you will attend" on Speechwire. I want to have a ballpark number for my food vendors. Check-in will begin at NHS at 7 AM. Rounds start at 8:15 AM.
FOOD: Available throughout the day!
JUDGES/COAHES LOUNGE: There will be lots of food!
EVENTS: All State speech events, Improv Duo, Congress, Policy Debate, Lincoln Douglas, and Public Forum.
ROUNDS: 3 Rounds and a Final round of 5, Next-In Final of 5. All Debate events will compete 4 rounds.
DOUBLE/TRIPLE: There will be an opportunity to double AND TRIPLE. This will allow students to receive many critiques early in the season. DOUBLING and TRIPLING will be AT YOUR OWN RISK.
(**UPDATED**): ONLY DOUBLE/TRIPLE RULES: Discussion may not double/triple in a FLIGHT A event. Extemp may not double/triple in a FLIGHT B event.
TAB ROOM: NO ONE other than the designated tab staff will be allowed to enter the tab room DURING the tournament. Results will be posted as quickly as possible.
NUMBER OF TEAMS: One Speech team and One Debate team. Speech team limited to 54 entries. Debate team limited to 40 entries. Same judge rule applies.
ENTRIES PER EVENT: You are welcome to bring up to 6 entries per event.
JUDGES: 1 judge for every 5 entries (or fraction thereof). Speech judge pool & Debate judge pool are SEPARATE...plan accordingly!
RADIO: Please bring (3) prepared items:
a. 2-minute CURRENT newscast
b. 2-minute editorial on public transportation
c. 1-minute commercial for the Indianapolis Zoo.
Final round will be on-the-spot (students will be given a picture).
DISCUSSION: This season, the IHSFA will be using a new Socratic Seminar format. Students will be given all necessary material for the discussion at the meet. Students will have 10 minutes to review information/take notes before the 20-minute discussion begins.
IMPROV DUO: My students were really pushing for this event. Competitors will have 5 minutes total to prepare and perform an improvisational duo with a given topic.
CONGRESS: Email Congress entries to noblesvillespeech@gmail.com. Please include your school name!
AWARDS: My goal is to start awards by 3 PM. Top 5 debate teams & top 10 speech teams will receive a trophy. Top 10 competitors in each event will receive a ribbon. Top tripler will receive an award.
