Hey all, 

 

Region Speech and Debate is around the corner. Juab will be hosting the region meet on February 28, 2013. Last year we ran out of time in the evening for debate rounds, so this year I want to reverse the order of the day. We will do debate rounds in the morning and early afternoon, and speech rounds late afternoon into the evening. 

 

Thursday morning registration will be at 7:30 AM to 8:00 AM at the LDS Stake Center on 350 North 100 West, Nephi, Utah. We will be using the March LD and PF topics. This way our students will have a chance to debate the  State topics before State.

Congress Round One 8:00 – 10:00 PM 

Round One Debate 8:00 AM – 9:30 AM 

Round Two Debate 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM 

Congress Round Two 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM

Round Three Debate 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM 

Round Four 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM 

Lunch 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM Each school is on their own for lunch

Round One Speech 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM 

Round One Congress 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM 

Round Two Speech 4:45 PM – 5:45 PM 

Round Two Congress 5:30 PM  - 7:00 PM 

Round Three Congress 6:15 PM – 7:15 PM 

Awards 7:30 PM 

 

Juab’s Booster Club will provided pizza, a drink, and cookies free to all student participants from 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Coaches and judges will be fed dinner in the evening. 

 

 Each school may bring four teams or students to compete in each event. Each school needs to provide four judges for the day. These judges may not be current high school students.
