Hello Speech Coaches!

The Moorhead High School Speech Team would be thrilled to have you join us for the Spud Speech Invitational on Saturday, February 9th.
We hope you will find the SpeechWire web site a user-friendly way to register your team and maintain changes.  We are proud to announce that this years' tournament will be sponsored by Concordia College.
Our team is, once again, excited to offer the Spuds Speech Invitational original category - "Extemporaneous Musical Theater". Please encourage your speakers/vocalists to sign up for this fun event!  Those schools participating will receive a Karaoke style CD with draw tracks to share with their brave "speakers".  These tracks will be used for FINAL ROUNDS ONLY.  For rounds 1-3, students can either use the tracks we provide or bring their own karaoke/piano track and sing along with their prepared selection.
We expect a wide variety of schools from across MN and a great cross-section of competition for all.  Our hope is to see every bus leave with Mr. Potato Head trophies, well-written critiques, and enormous pride.
If you have questions about the Spud Speech Invitational, please don't hesitate to contact us.  On behalf of the entire Spuds coaching staff, we hope to see you on February 9th!
Sincerely,

Rebecca Meyer-Larson, Head Speech Coach
