Dear Fellow Speech Coaches:

You are cordially invited to the annual Dassel-Cokato Charger Speech Invitational to be held Saturday, February 23rd, 2013.  We will have three rounds and a final.  We also hope this will be a strong tournament for teams to prepare for sub-sections, sections, and state. 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

1.      Registration:  Up to six per category (duos count as one entry). $6.00 per entry.
2. Double Entering: Double entries will be allowed.
3. Judges:  Please bring one judge for every six entries. If you drop students, you still need to provide the number of judges you originally registered.
4. Draw Categories:  ALL draw categories will have 30 minutes to prep, commencing at 8:30 a.m. Storytelling will draw from all the stories on the MSHSL list. Extemp. Reading will draw from all the story/poetry lists.  
5.    Concessions:  We will have food and beverages available for contestants (Walking Taco, barbeque, etc.) (The concession stand will be located by the Performing Arts Center.)
6.  The Awards Ceremony will be held in the Auditorium of the new Performing Arts Center after awards.  Medals will be awarded to the top seven places in each category. Honorable Mention ribbons will also be awarded. There will be team awards as well. (Since we will have the awards in the P.A.C., please have your bus drivers pick up your team by the Charger Performing Arts Center door---there will be signs.)
7. Hospitality Room will be available for coaches, judges and bus drivers.

Dassel-Cokato High School is located between the communities of Dassel and Cokato on Highway 12.  Tournament registration will be in the high school office from 7:30-8:15 a.m.

Please register for the tournament no later than 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 20th, 2013. Changes to the registration can be made the morning of the tournament no later than 7:20am the day of the tournament. For Saturday morning drops/adds please call (612) 205-5880 between 7:00-7:20.
