TOURNAMENT INFORMATION:

Your team is invited to join us at Liberty High School on Saturday, January 19th, 2013 for our Speech & Debate tournament at Liberty High School and Guy Middle School.
Events: Each high school may enter six contestants in all IE categories and Student Congress. You may register six Varsity LD Debaters and six Public Forum Teams. Debates will use the January NFL topics. if you wish to enter more contestants than permitted please let me know and if space permits you will be notified.
There will be no Policy Debate at this tournament.
Registration: All teams must register online at www.Speechwire.com .
All contestants must be registered by 4:00 p.m. on Monday January 14, 2013 using Speechwire software.
Your judges must be registered by Friday, January 18 at 8a.m.
Awards: Individuals: 1st through 6th place in all events. Awards ceremony will be open in the Auditorium. Sweepstakes will be computed on your best ten competitors overall.
Judges: 1 judge for every 5, or fraction of 5, IE events
1 judge for 1 or 2 PF entries, 2 judges for 3 or 4 LD entries
1 judges for every 6 congress entries
A DROP in registration does not permit a drop in JUDGES. Any school failing to bring the required number of judges will be fined $30.00 for each missing judge.
Fees: $3.50 per student in IE and LD. $7.00 per Duo Team and Public Forum Team.

Schedule: 8:00 – 8:30 Registration at table by computer lab
8:30 a.m. – General Assembly in the gym
9:00 a.m. Extemp draw/Round one
We are going to try and run four regular rounds of competition depending on how fast the tournament runs. Lunch will be available at 12p.m. in the cafeteria. Please do not bring food into the high school. You must purchase your food from the school cafeteria.
Extemp: Prep room will be up stairs in the community room.

The middle school is within walking distance of the high school – one small road for bus access runs between the two school buildings.
