Welcome to the Badger Memorial Invitational

The UW-Madison Forensics Team invites you to attend the

8th Annual Badger Memorial Invitational

The Collegiate Forensics League of University of Wisconsin – Madison is pleased to invite you to the Badger Memorial Invitational (the Saturday portion of the Great Wisconsin Swing) on Saturday, November 10, 2012. The second half of the Great Wisconsin Swing will be hosted by the Forensics Team of University of Wisconsin – Whitewater on Sunday, November 11th.

Events and Scheduling:

Flight A:  EXT, PERS, DUO, POI, CA, DI
Flight B:  PRO, INF, IMP, POE, ADS

NOVICE will be offered in ALL events as long as there are enough entries.

Tournament Schedule:

8:00 am Registration

8:30 am Extemp Round 1 draw

9:00 am Round 1A

10:15 am Round 1B

11:15 am Lunch

11:45 am Extemp Round 2 draw

12:15 pm Round 2A

1:30 pm Round 2B

3:00 pm Finals A

4:15 pm Finals B

6:00 pm or ASAP Awards

Registration:

Speakers cannot be in more than three (3) events in one pattern.

Registration will be handled through www.speechwire .com. Please register online through the link provided below. All entries must be received by 5:00 PM on Tuesday, November 6^th. There will be no adds after the cut-off and drops will incur a charge.

Awards:

Trophies will be awarded to the Finalists in each event.

Team Sweepstakes will be awarded to the top three (3) teams overall.

Fees:

- Entry fee of $8 per entry

- Drops made after the cut-off date will incur at $5 drop fee

- Drops at registration will incur a $10 drop fee

- Dropped Judges will incur a $50 fee

- Uncovered entries will incur a $10 fee. One judge covers six (6) entries

Location and Lodging:

The Badger Memorial Invitational will once again be held primarily in the George L. Mosse Humanities building. The Humanities building is located on the corner of Park Street and University Avenue (455 N. Park St.). Registration will be just inside the Park Street entrance to the building.
