You are invited to the December Dallas UDA tournament, sponsored by K&L Gates LLP held at the Historic Adamson High School on 201 E 9th St., 75203.
Given the size of this tournament, there will be a few unique features:
1. There are no entry caps - but when we are full, we are full. As a result, please enter sooner rather than later.
RSVP should be done by this Friday (quick yes/no)
Entry Deadline is Monday, November 26th.
2. High School Novice & JV are TWO separate tournaments - one Friday and one Saturday. Students may reconfigure between the days and are encouraged to debate on both days. Varsity has 5 prelims and ends at semis. the Final round will be rescheduled to one of the final schools buildings the following week (unless both schools would like to have the final round after awards, in which case e can do that).
3. Middle School debates are "flighted" meaning that round 1 has both an "A' and a "B". Students are expected to watch the other half they are not debating in.
4. Lunch will be in the Auditorium. We will divide food and hand it to the coaches based off the number of students you have entered. Please have students come to you for meals. If you have any vegetarians (or other meal requests) we need to know in advance to order them food.
5. We are doing a First-Aid supply drive for at-risk families in South Dallas. We'd appreciate teams helping us with this drive by gathering any unused first-aid/medical supplies they may have and bringing them to the tournament. Overall Notes:
1. Please remember that all coaches and students are expected to stay through awards. Award winners are expected to stay afterwards for a group picture.
