Dear Coaches:

This is your invitation to attend the SWSC Varsity Tournament being held at Joliet Central High School on Saturday, December 15, 2012. This will be a three (3) round tournament with a final round for varsity competitors only.

ENTRY: You may enter two (2) competitors in each event for a total of 28 entries.

JUDGES: One (1) judge for each five (5) entries or fraction thereof (maximum of 5). You are responsible for the number of judges needed based on your original entry. There will be one (1) judge per event for Rounds 1-3 and 3 judges per event for the Final Round. Round I Extemp and Round II Radio have two (2) judges so each contestant has three (3) evaluations.

SCHEDULE

7:00 AM – Registration

7:45 AM – Extemp and Radio Prep for Round 1 (5 minute staggered intervals)

8:30 AM – Round I: All Events with Extemp Double Judged

10:00 AM – Round II: All Events except Extemp and Radio

10:30 AM – Extemp and Radio Prep for Round 3

11:15 – Round III: All Events with Radio Double Judged

1:00 PM – Extemp and Radio Prep for Final Round (5 minute staggered intervals)

1:45 PM – Final Round: All Events

3:45 PM – Awards Ceremony

FOOD

No food will be allowed outside of the Cafeteria. Please help us keep our rooms clean! The Cafeteria will provide breakfast, lunch, and snack concessions all day.

RULES
Please see SWSC By-Laws for complete rules.

All IHSA Rules will be followed except for the following:

EXTEMP-Extemp speakers will prep once for prelims and speack twice.  One round will be double judged. Final round qualifiers will prep a second time.

       All Extemp speakers will be double-judged in Round 1.

RADIO--Radio speakers will prep once for prelims. Final round qualifiers will prep a second time.

       All Radio speakers will be double-judged in Round 2.
