Dear Speech Coach,
Welcome back to another season of forensics! We would like to invite to take part in the 21st annual Ferry Forensics Fest @ LFHS.
As it has in previous years, the festival will consist of three rounds not unlike any other forensics tournament. Unlike a typical tournament, however, contestants here will not be ranked. Rather, they will be rated Superior, Outstanding, Excellent, Good, or Fair. In any given round, it is conceivable that all contestants could be rated Superior; it is also conceivable that none could be. Please note that once again we will be offering Original Prose and Poetry, Wretched Interp, and Improv Duet. We will also be offering Shakespearean Monologue,as we have in the past two years, which will only perform once after rounds are complete and will not count toward team scores. And don't forget our Karaoke in the Commons!
Awards will be keyed to ratings. A rating of Superior will be equal to 5 points, Outstanding 4 points, Excellent 3 points, Good 2 points, and Fair 1 point. The top three scores in each event will receive awards. As we did last year, we will also offer Individual Sweeps awards. Of course, it probably goes without saying that no ties will be broken by round or event.
