Streamwood Winter Jamboree
General information This information is from a tournament in a past season! This is a High School tournament in Illinois. View manager contact information
Dear Speech Coach:
I am happy to announce that Streamwood High School will be hosting the 3rd Annual Streamwood Winter Jamboree on Saturday, December 15th, and that this is your invitation to this amazing event. This tournament is open to ALL competitors. We are looking forward to hosting your team. A good time shall be had by all.
The canned food drive keeps getting better. We collected over 2000 items. So, I am planning on holding the food drive again. The team with the most items collected will be recognized at the awards ceremony for their generosity.
I will be making a donation in name of the sweeps winner in place of a trophy. The team will be recognized, and we will have something for them, but not your standard trophy.
I hope these little twists will add to the wonderful energy of the season.
Now down to business. We plan on running the standard 3 rounds and a final. If the numbers are large enough, we will have a Next-In Final that will be single-judged
Entries Each team may have up to 4 entries per event (if more are needed, email me and we can work something out); students may TRIPLE-ENTERED in a round.
Fees We are adjusting fees so that it will be $5 an entry based off of final numbers as of December 13th. You will be given an invoice of specific numbers if needed. Also, since the turn around time is not always the fastest, you can either bring the check, or you can mail it to us after the tournament.
Judges Please bring one (1) judge per five (5) entries, with a maximum of three (3) judges for a single team (14 entries), and five (5) judges for a full team (28 entries). As you get larger, please bring judges accordingly. If you are unsure as to the number of judges you will need, just email me. Judging assignments will be based on your preliminary entry form. You will be responsible for covering all judging assignments regardless of drops on the day of the tournament.
Please be sure to provide your own stopwatches.
