Dear Coach:

Noblesville High School invites you to the Noblesville November Fest on November 3, 2012. Registration will be from 7:00 to 7:40 am in the Performing Arts office at Gate 18 of the Main Campus. There will be 3 straight rounds and a final round of 10 (2 sections), and all IHSFA rules will be followed unless otherwise noted. Send your registration by October 25, 2012.

Events offered: Declamation, Dramatic Interpretation, Discussion, Domestic Extemp, Humorous Interp, Impromptu, International Extemp, Memorized Duo, Original Oratory, Original Performance, Poetry, Prose, Radio, and Scripted Duo.

Doubling: Contestants can double at their own risk in every event except for Discussion.

Limits: 5 per category, 40 per team. Teams MAY form "B" teams, as this is a VARSITY ONLY event. However, "B" teams MUST be registered separately and additional judges must be supplied in accordance with the '1 to 5' rule

Judging: 1 judge per 5 entries, or fraction thereof. Failure to bring the required judges will disqualify an entering team from sweepstakes. Please enter judges’ names for registration. There will be a judges’ meeting at 7:45 in the cafeteria.

Confirmation: If confirmation is not sent to you by November 1st, please let me know.

Drops: Please record drops when you arrive on Saturday morning. Schools will not be allowed to pickup drops. New schematics will be printed after round 2 to eliminate dropped entries from the schedules.

Radio: There will be a radio meeting for all contestants at 8am in the LGI Room. Radio rounds are as follows: Round 1: 2-minute Newscast (provided by the student) Round 2: 1-minute contestant-written commercial (product info provided) Round 3: 2-minute Editorial (provided) Finals: On the Spot

Extemp: Prep will be 45 minutes to allow for doubling. If doubled in impromptu, competitors may leave the room after extemp. Draw is at 8am and 10am in the Library.

Discussion: SEE DOCUMENT ON SPEECHWIRE.

Food: Food will be available throughout the day. Please plan to eat HERE in order to help us offset the cost of the meet. Pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, Dippin' Dots, and much more will be available!

Be sure you’re registered on Speech Wire by October 25th. Complete Team registration is due by 8 PM on October 28th. Please go to http://www.speechwire.com to register your team. You need names of entries and judges to register.
